Khanyi Mbau Bags a Lead Role in a Showmax Original Telenovela. One thing that you can’t take away from Khanyi Mbau, is her amazing talent. Just recently people have been going crazy over her for nailing her character on Happiness Ever After sequel. Khanyi is now wrapping up the year with a brand new acting gig.
The talented actress, reality TV star, media personality, musician and entrepreneur has bagged a lead role on Season II of The Wife. Khanyi will play the role of Zandile, inspired by Zandile the Resolute. The Zulu Queen is Nkosana Zulu’s wife (played by Mondli Makhoba), and she will make her debut on the show, come February 2022.

Showmax has commissioned three seasons of 40 episodes each, inspired by Dudu’s books Hlomu the Wife, Zandile the Resolute, and Naledi His Love respectively. The books follow the lives of the eight Zulu brothers, a formidable crime family, through the eyes of the wives they marry. Currently fans are enjoying Hlomu the Wife, which started airing from 11 November 2021.
