“I Did My Best But The Old Man Made His Choice,” Edward Zuma
” I Did My Best But The Old Man Made His Choice,” Edward Zuma. Over the past couple of days he has been showing massive support to his father Jacob Zuma. Edward Zuma has been outspoken against authorities tasked by the Constitutional Court to arrest the former president.
Wednesday was the deadline by which the Constitutional Court had ordered that police arrest Zuma, if he’d not handed himself over. Addressing the media on the day, Edward vehemently stated that he will be stopping anybody who will want to incarcerate his father.
“That particular cell that is reserved for him for tonight, they might as well give it to another prisoner because, as the Zuma clan, we are not going to allow that. They will have to shed blood for that because we are going to be defending him with our lives,” Edward said.
Despite all of this, Zuma decided to had himself to the police before 12 O’clock midnight. The former president has officially been jailed. The correctional services department confirmed at 1.50am on Thursday that Zuma had “been admitted to start serving a 15-month sentence at Estcourt Correctional Centre”.
I DID MY BEST, WE DID OUR BEST COMRADES BUT THE OLD MAN MADE HIS CHOICE I RESPECT HIS DECISION, BUT TO RAMAPHOSA & ZONDO THIS IS NOT OVER. YOU HAVE DECLARED A WAR & WE GONNA FIGHT THIS TILL THE END #ZumaArrest
Although things didn’t go as Edward planned a lot of people were impressed by how he stood by his father during this trying time.
