MacG Called Out For His Comments On Boity. Is it a case of freedom of speech, or just plain disrespect? Now that Podcast and Chill is gaining momentum, controversial conversations that have been had in each and every episode always make trending news. Among other things, MacG and his co-host Sol Phenduka have been under fire after sharing their views on transgender issues, as well as the episode where Thando Thabethe was mercilessly dragged.
Although , the duo did apologize to the LGBTQI+ community, there still stand by the fact that they live by no one’s rules and are obligated to say whatever that comes to their mind. A lot of people have called on the podcast to be canceled a few times, but the truth of the matter is that, MacG’s fan base still continues to grow. So far the podcast is standing 162K subscribers.
On his latest episode, MacG had Nota, who has been making news lately over his strong views regarding the local music industry in general. Just like many of Podcast and Chill episode, this latest one also left Twitter divided. In the episode, one chiller asked who would MacG marry or kill between Bonang Matheba, Boity Thulo and Thando Thabethe. Without hesitation MacG said he will marry Bonang, kill Thando, but as for Boity he was undecided, and his reasons for that left many shocked.
“Everyone has f***** Boity”, MacG dropped the bombshell.
This caused a backlash on social media as fans started to drag MacG for saying something so insensitive.
