It’s true what they say that sometimes when things take a little longer to happen for you, you are probably being prepared for even greater things. This is definitely the case with Refilwe Modiselle. Although she has been moving mountains in the industry for many years, it is only recently that Refilwe is starting to get the recognition she deserves.
In December 2019, Refilwe announced that she bagged a role in an international film, White Gold. This was her first role in an international film, and she definitely impressed. For the same film, Refilwe bagged a Best Actress Award at The African Film Festival in Dallas Texas. She then scooped another international award, this time, at the 2020 Africa Film For Impact Festival (AFFIF) and Awards. The awards took place on November 3 – 7, via virtual access in Lagos, Nigeria.
The international award winning actress, model and media personality has just bagged her first magazine cover. To make her debut as a cover girl extra special, Refilwe is gracing the cover of an international publication, Intelligent Magazine. How about that! The UK magazine is for inquisitive minds, people, travel, culture and so much more. On the magazine, the phenomenal Refilwe speaks about prejudices and the horrific persecution people with albinism still suffer today.
