Thando Thabethe Applauded For Contributing To The Legal Fess of DJ Fresh and Euphonik’s Rape Accuser
Thando Thabethe Applauded For Contributing To The Legal Fess of DJ Fresh and Euphonik’s Rape Accuser. Today a peaceful protest took place outside the offices of Sunday World. This comes after Euphonik tweeted a ‘Whats-App message from his alleged rape victim, in which, the victim is said to be apologizing. Tweeps were quick to point out how shady the message is and also pointed out the bad photo-shopping.
The award winning DJ, and entrepreneur posted the text to Twitter without hiding the number of the sender. Euphonik wrote: “On a serious note. Before things get out of hand. Can this girl’s family and friends help her before she hurts anyone else or herself? Unfortunately, my sister you’ve said, done and damaged way too much to expect any level of help from me.”
To make matters worse, Sunday World publication published an article in which they insinuated that the victim was the one who sent the message. Many then called for the resignation of Ngwako Malatji, who wrote the article, and also demanded an apology be given to Nampree. The peaceful protest was thus arranged, so that these two pleas could be met.
Celebrities like Ntsiki Mazwi and Penny Lebyane were at the forefront of the protest. Other celebrities like Thandiswa Mazwai, Bonnie Mbuli and Naledi Chirwa showed their support through tweets. Thando Thabethe also showed her support by pledging to support the alleged victim Nampree with legals costs.
A week ago, Euphonick was also called out for making insensitive jokes, about the whole scenario. The likes of Boity and Zozibini Tunzi, joined angry tweeps who were not impressed with Euphonik. Boity in particular, said Euphonik was turning the serious accusations he has been accused of into giggles circus. She called for Euphonik to confess or let his lawyers handle the matter.
