A number of our South African celebrities are multilingual, and we love it for them. They include Florence Masebe, James Sithole, Sbahle Mzizi, Kairo Forbes and former Big Brother participant Luzuko.
The latest to do so is Brendan Maphake otherwise known as Amukelani Hlongwane from Skeem Saam. The talented and TikTok content creator can speak several local languages. He impressed many by flexing his multilingual skills. Brendan can speak Sepedi, Zulu, Tshivenda, English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, Sesotho among other languages.
Brendan ability to speak a number of languages, is a plus for him as an actor. This shows that he can bag roles in any shows and play any character. He currently uses Sepedi for his role as Amu in Skeem Saam, having joined them in 2024. Brendan made his on-screen debut as Amukelani, on February 2nd.
