Ashay Sewllal Steps In to Try Fight Against the Killings of Women. Another day, another body discovered.The latest discovery makes the number of murdered women dumped around Ekurhuleni to be nine. According to the police, the woman was also found partially naked, which is the similar condition the other women were found in. This is truly a cause for concern, as residents are now scared not knowing what to expect.
As pressing conversations are being held all over, our celebrities have all joined in. Just the other day, actress and entrepreneur Didie Makobane called for the return of the death penalty. She stated that the government and police officers are not doing enough to protect women. Didie also noted that women get brutally killed, only for the perpetrators to walk freely. The only solution that she could think of, is for the killers to be sentenced to death of caught. This will perhaps, make others scared to commit the same offenses.
Another celebrity, Ashay Sewllal, has come up with their own suggestion. Many know him from Big Brother Mzansi, but there is more to Ashay than reality shows. He is a South African citizen, who is also affected by these murders. As he has a big platform, Ashay has asked those around Durban to come up with ideas of fighting Gender Based Violence.
