Skeem Saam Drops Some Interesting Facts About New Teacher Mr Xulu. There is a new teacher in the corridors of Turf High, and it’s about to go down. Mr Xulu doesn’t look like your typical teacher, and already some of his colleagues are questioning his character.
One thing about Skeem Saam, they know how to match roles with the perfect actor.The interesting role is payed by none other than talented actor Malibongwe Mdwaba. The Khayelitsha born star joined the SABC1 educational drama back in January 2025, as Shongwe. He was one of the prisoners where Lehasa Maposa was detained. When Mdwaba announced his gig, he stated that the role will convey an important lesson for young people, and he was excited to contribute to this story arc. This also marked his first project with the country’s largest and oldest broadcaster SABC.
Now a year later, Mdwaba is back again, with a whole new name and a new life. As expected the character getting all the necessary attention. Under the new name of Mr Xulu, he has just been employed as an English teacher, and he is coming with the drama. Skeem Saam has just shared with their viewers the type of person Mr Xulu is.
