South African Actors Who Currently Nail the Scammer Character On TV. They don’t play the typical theft of using guns, knives and other weapons to get people’s belongings. These guys sit behind a computer to do their scamming activities. Others just use their sweet tongue and charm to get money from unsuspecting individuals. Currently the actors slaying such characters are Mzikayise Makroti, Matthews Rantsoma and Siyabonga Shibe.

Mzikayise Makroti (Nka)

Mzikayise Makroti has made features on Generations, Lock Down, Rhythm City as well as Skeem Saam. He acclaimed to fame through his role on DiepCity playing Fistos. His character was that of an abusive man, who wasn’t good to his wife Sinethemba and his kids. Now Makroti is slaying one of the biggest roles of his life, playing Nkanyiso. He started off with the role in The Black Door, and when the series got a spin off, as Isitha: The enemy, Makroti still remained his role as Nka. Matthews Rantsoma is famous for his role as Nhlamulo, one of the main characters in Scandal! The character Nhlamulo made his debut in 2021 and left female fans weak-kneed. His lingo was so poetic as he made Sepitori fashionable. Nhlamulo constantly trended for his love for his on-screen wife Nomvelo Makhanya who played Lindiwe Ngema. Also he was a Forex trader, who scammed some individuals who were desperate to get rich. His IT knowledge, also saw Nhlamulo scam his way into money making opportunities. After exiting Scandal! Nhlamulo bagged roles in other shows. Currently he is doing his thing in Inimba, and of course as a scammer, who is good in IT.

Siyabonga Shibe

Siyabonga Shibe has been a familiar face on South African television screens for more than two decades. He is best known for his leading roles in the SABC1 drama series Gaz’lam (2002-2005) and Bay of Plenty, from 2007-2008. Since then Siyabonga has built a formidable career with standout roles in popular shows including Uzalo, Ashes to Ashes, Scandal!, The Wife, Shaka iLembe and Sibongile & The Dlaminis.
