Sol Phenduka Gushes Over His Radio Award Nomination. He might be out of radio for now, but Sol Phenduka‘s effect on the medium is still very much felt.It goes without saying that Sol was a great radio personality as he still gets nominated for awards.
A few months back, Sol was let go from KAYA FM, because of his misogynistic remarks made about actress and media personality Minnie Dlamini. Sol was present when MacG suggested Minnie being unlucky in relationships could be because her private parts might have an unpleasant smell. This did not sit well with many people, and they called for MacG and Sol to be cancelled. Sadly for Sol, this cost him his job. The good thing though is that he is still being remembered for his greatness as a radio personality.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sol shared a post about his award nomination. The multi-award winning media personality, reality show star, DJ and entrepreneur received a nod under the best Traffic Presenter category. This is for Siz World, the breakfast show he co-presented with Sizwe Dhlomo at KAYA FM. Sol is battling it out with Juliet Joseph and Tsikwe Molobye, also from KAYA FM. The category also has Tara Penny from Hot 102. 7 FM and Buhle Hlatswayo from ECR FM.
“Look who’s nominated for best traffic presenter at the radio awards😅,” Sol gushed over his nomination.
