Levels! Somizi Graduates From Fashion School. Somizi and fashion are without a doubt two things you can’t separate. When he attends events, it is always a given that he will stand out, with something extravagant. It was no surprise when Somizi decided to now take fashion as a career.
About a year ago, Somizi ventured into the fashion industry with the opening of his Sompire clothing store. The store catered for kids initially, but as time went on, adults outfits were also sold. Somizi eventually launched himself as a fashion designer,making clothes from scratch. He made his debut in the field by designing Moshe Ndiki’s outfit for the 18th METRO FM Music Awards, in 2024. This year, Somizi once again dressed another celebrity at the METRO FM Music Awards, Zola Mhlongo. His clothes are not only for celebrities, and Somizi proved that by making his first Matric Dance orders a few weeks back.
Pushing boundaries as always, Somizi recently showcased his work at the Durban Fashion Fair. Some of his models included Mihlali Ndamase, Bahumi, Minnie Dlamini, Zola, Baby Cele, Yaya Mavundla, Sorisha Naidoo, Kelly Khumalo, Babalwa Mneno and Sithelo Shozi.
Everything that is happening to Somizi as a fashion designer, is not by chance. The celebrated media personality and entertainer has been working hard to realize his dream. He enrolled with Villioti Fashion Institute, to hone his skills. Now Somizi is a whole Fashion graduate, and he is proud of his incredible achievement.
