Somizi Excited for His Runway Show Debut As A Designer. One thing about dreams, it’s never too late to see them come true. Somizi, who is a force in the can definitely attest to this. In just a little over a week he will make his first runaway show as a fashion designer.
Somizi has always been bold about his choice of outfits. At major events, he is known for his flamboyant outfits, and changes occasionally during the proceedings. Everyone is always looking forward for what Somizi will rock, and he never disappoints. The annual Durban July, is one of the events where the multifaceted entertainer always shows off his fashion versatility.
It was only a matter of time, for Somizi to start making clothes himself. He ventured into the fashion industry by opening up his Sompire clothing store. The store catered for kids, but as time went on, adults outfits were also sold. Somizi eventually launched himself as a fashion designer. He made his debut in the field by designing Moshe Ndiki’s outfit for the 18th METRO FM Music Awards, a year ago. This year, Somizi once again dressed another celebrity at the METRO FM Music Awards. Zola Mhlongo looked outstanding in a dress, made by her friend and colleague Somizi.
Somizi is definitely growing in the industry, and we love this for him. He is one of the designers who will be showcasing at the upcoming Durban Fashion Fair. This is a first fro Sozmiz and he is all excited, and proud of himself.
