Applications Open for the MasterChef South Africa Competition 2025. The heat is on, enter MasterChef South Africa 2025. This season its all about being made in Mzansi.

Rules: 

1. You must be 18 years or older on 3 November 2025
2. You must be a South African citizen or a legal permanent resident. 
3. You cannot currently work as a professional chef or worked as a professional chef. 
4. If your current main source of income is from preparing and/or cooking fresh food in a professional environment (restaurant, hotels, canteens, catering etc.), the MasterChef  producers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to determine if your cooking duties, training, and/or experience rise to a level of professionalism that would render you ineligible. 

How to Enter:

1. Please read the Ts and Cs, as well as the FAQs. By submitting your entry form, you agree to all the Terms and Conditions. 
2. Please follow the prompts and fill out the form below.  
3. When selecting applicants for MasterChef, we consider your cooking skills of course, but also your enthusiasm, drive, love of food, and a real desire to change your life. Therefore, answer all questions honestly and in your OWN words. Do not leave any questions unanswered. if questions do not apply, write N/A as a response.
4. Please attach a recent photograph of yourself. It should not be larger than 1MB. Don’t overdo the filters, so we can see the real you. 
5. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT – YOUR ENTRY VIDEO:
   Your entry can only be considered if you include a video introducing you to us. The guidelines below will help you. This is your one chance to tell us about yourself, impress us, let your personality come through and make you stand out from all the thousands of entries.
   
   Video Guidelines:
   • Tell us why you think you are the ideal contestant for MasterChef South Africa? What are your food dreams and what will you bring to the competition? Remember – we want to get to know you better as a person. and your love for food
   • The video should not be larger than 250MB and not longer than 4 minutes.
   • If you want to cook something while you talk, great … as long as we see and hear YOU, not merely the food.
   It need not be a fancy produced video, and you can let someone record it for you on a cell phone, as long as we can hear and see you clearly.
   We cannot stress enough how important this part of your entry is.

NOTE: The submission of an application form and compliance with the above are not a guarantee that you will appear on the programme. The producers may or may not invite you to attend an interview at their discretion. The production team’s decisions regarding selection to the program are final.
