Former SABC New Anchor Nzinga Qunta Admitted As An Advocate of the High Court. Switching careers is never an easy decision to make, more so when you are doing amazing for yourself in your current one. You are not certain if you will succeed in your next move, and there is always fear of the unknown. For other people though like Nzinga Qunta, they bravely took up the challenge.
The seasoned business news anchor boasts over a decade of experience in radio and television. Qunta anchored SABC News’ flagship business news bulletin, OnPoint. Her work included facilitating discussions at the World Economic Forum’s virtual Davos Dialogues in 2021, a discussion with CEOs and the President of South Africa on the South African economy and investment in Davos, Switzerland, MCing the South Africa Investment Conference each year since its inception, interviewing the founder of the $365 billion tech company Alibaba, Jack Ma.
In early 2024, she shocked many when she announced that she was leaving the SABC, which has been her news home since February 2017. Qunta stated that she was now starting her journey in the legal profession. In September last year, she shared a video clip, showing content from her studying period. On the caption she revealed that she was did 15 examinations.
Well, Qunta, who is not bit on social media is back with another amazing update. She has just been admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Her best friend media personality and actress, Pearl Thusi was there on her big day.
“It feels wonderful to have been admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
I am so grateful to those pictured and those not for the guidance and assistance along the way,” she said.
