Applications Open for the UGO Fellowship Program 2025 Cohort. We are proud to announce a transformative program designed explicitly for Tertiary students from underprivileged backgrounds.
About the Programme
This intensive three-month skills development journey culminates in a valuable exchange experience in UGO partner countries. UGO fellowship is specifically crafted to empower participants with essential skills and global insights. Through engaging online classes, students dive into crucial topics such as personal development, ethical leadership, social entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, community development, and sustainability. Upon successfully completing the five engaging online modules, candidates will participate in a one-week enlightening exchange program in collaboration with the UGO partner country.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be citizens of South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, or Sierra Leone who are between 18 and 32 years old.
- A minimum average of 65% from the latest results.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in courses related to sustainability and the green economy.
- Applicants must not have ever flown or traveled outside of their country of birth.
- Applicants must be open to traveling both domestically and internationally.
- Applicants must not have a criminal record.
- Applicants must demonstrate that they come from previously disadvantaged background, as supported by an affidavit or letter from Traditional Authority.

- Submit a 1-page motivational letter.
- Certified ID copy not older than 3 months
- Latest Academic transcript
- Affidavit or letter from the traditional authority for the previously disadvantaged.
- 3 endorsement letters for references from 3 reputable people supporting your interest in participating in the UGO fellowship program.
- Latest CV/resume (2 Pages)
- Police Clearance/Proof of Application.
- High-Quality- Head and Shoulders Photo (Separate)
