Nomcebo Zikode Responds After Losing the Jerusalema Court Case

Nomcebo Zikode Responds After Losing the Jerusalema Court Case. Back in 2020, Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG, gave us one of the biggest songs ever. Not only did Jerusalema blow in South Africa, it became an anthem globally.

The hit song made waves across the globe. In almost every country, people took and posted videos of themselves doing the Jerusalema Dance Challenge. Even international stars like Portugal football sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo, and American singer, Janet Jackson shared videos of gatherings where the Jerusalema Dance was the order of the day.

Despite the song’s huge achievements, Nomcebo and Master KG’s relationship soured. There were reports that Master KG’s record label, Open Mic Production, has not paid Nomcebo any royalties for her contributions to the single. Master KG denied the claims, stating that Nomcebo wants more than what they had agreed on.

Their battle is still going on with the latest developments seeing Nomcebo losing her legal case against Open Mic Productions. Nomcebo was also ordered by the court to deliver two albums to the production company before she is released from her contract. The Grammy award winning artist has taken to social media after the judgement. She still maintains that she has not been paid a dime, for her contribution in Jerusalema. Going forward Nomcebo, vows that she will continue fighting for her rights.

A song that had once given the world hope, has in turn, broken me 😭
I still have not seen a single cent, and I am still fighting for my rights šŸ’” But I will keep on fighting through this pain and exhaustion because we cannot continue excusing the exploitation of artists in this beautiful country. Aluta Continua!!! āœŠšŸ¾#JusticeForNomcebo šŸ’ššŸ’ššŸ’š
