Mthabela has made a name for himself as a talented actor, editor, speaker, and former model. The seasoned actor got his first acting role at the age of 31. He became a household name after playing the role of Duma in iSibaya. He was also an editor on the series and was nominated for a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) in the category “Best Achievement in Post Production & Editing – TV Soap / Telenovela” in 2017.
Mthabela has also acted on TV shows like My Brother’s Keeper, Generations: The Legacy, Sibongile & The Dlaminis, Imbewu, Isidingo, Muvhango, and Nikiwe.
He was also the editor of the SABC1 drama series Bone of My Bones. Other shows he has worked as an editor on include Zola 7, Zone 14, Jacob’s Cross, City Ses’la, Skwizas, Gaz’lam, Usindiso, Tempy Pushas, Rolling with Zola, Rolling with Kelly and Mina Nawe.
