Minnie Dlamini Pays Homage to South African Stars With Stunning Outfits At the SAMAs
Minnie Dlamini Pays Homage to South African Stars With Stunning Outfits At the SAMAs. Over the weekend, she cemented her place as one of the best events hosts in the country. Minnie Dlamini held it down at the South African Music Awards, and everyone agrees she did a stellar job.
Taking on the big stage all by herself Minnie did exceptionally great. It was quite impressive on how well researched she was, as she dished out music facts. The celebrated media personality, actress and entrepreneur also shared a few hilarious jokes in between. A lot of her fans want Minnie back as the SAMAs host next year. Now that’s a sign of a job well done.
It goes without saying that as much as the SAMAs are all about music, fashion has a way of taking the centre stage. Many are always looking forward to the red carpet segment, where celebrities get a moment to show off their stunning outfits. Publications also run the best dressed feature articles, which make the whole thing interesting.
As a host, Minnie went all out with her outfits. Her first outfit was inspired by Doja Cat, who is half American half South African. On September 28, the superstar stunned many at the Global Citizen Festival with her electrifying performance. Doja Cat’s appearance in a striking South African-themed dress stole the show, not just for its beauty but for the powerful message that came with it. With an almost similar dress, Minnie also made a statement. To compliment her look, she rocked the box braids up-do inspired by Lebo Mathosa and Thembi Seete of Boom Shaka fame.
She then rocked a Mahotela Queens inspired outfit. Minnie definitely killed it with her red crop top. white tutu skirt, a Zulu traditional had, and accessories. She also took a leaf from Tyla’s fashion book, with an outfit inspired by the artist’s album cover. Dishing her glam look, Minnie also appeared looking like a Kwaito star, and mimicking Mzekezeke. Now that’s being super creative.
