Menzi Ngubane Remembered On What Would Have Been His 60th Birthday. The 13th March 2021, will forever remain the saddest day in the South African entertainment industry. The country lost one of its gifted veteran actors, Menzi Ngubane, following complications from a stroke aged 56 years.
Ngubane was known by many as Sibusiso Dhlomo on Generations, and Judas Ngwenya on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya. He however, had played numerous roles on other South African TV shows, including Yizo Yizo, Ashes to Ashes, Gold Diggers, and Heist. He also appeared in a number of South African films, one of them being How to Steal 2 Million. The film won Best Picture at the 2012 African Movie Academy Awards. In 2020, Ngubane delayed his much anticipated debut on Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen to focus on his health.
His talent speaks for itself with numerous awards and nominations under his belt. The late Ngubane also boast a CV of over 30 years experience in the TV and film industry. At the time of his passing there was still a lot he was about to offer in the industry. To honor his memory, a new documentary titled, Ngubs: The Life and Times of Menzi Ngubane, was released.
His family is also keeping his memory alive, by making sure that his social media is active. There are constant updates about him on his Instagram page. Today the page remembers the fallen hero on what would have been his 60th birthday.
