Mamokgethi Phakeng Celebrates Being A Cover Star for this Leading Magazine. She will go down history as someone who ventured into a lot of things. Mamokgethi Phakeng is not only an academic, she is an advocate for education and women’s leadership, a gym freak, an adventure lover, a socialite among many other things.

The former University of Cape Town Vice Chancellor, continues to make major career waves. She recently bagged a TV hosting gig on Moja Love. Professor Phakeng is the presenter of Aubrey Tau’s Success Stories with Fab Academy. The show is all about celebrating local entrepreneurs. As per her happy self, the professor is having a party to celebrate the cool gig. She also has numerous awards that she has bagged over the years.

On more achievements, Professor Phakeng, is the cover star of the current edition of BONA Magazine. How cool is it that this is happening on August, a month when women in South Africa are celebrated!

BONA describes her as bold and authentic, and someone who embodies fierceness and shares invaluable lessons on striving for Black excellence. Professor Phakeng, who sometimes deal with social media trolls, is over the moon for this one. She addressed her haters, those who judge her based on her age, that now they have to deal with her being a cover star.
