1. Thato Mokhuane was born on the 30th of September 1998 in Itsoseng, North West.
2. In primary school ‘T.J.’ was a kid with so much energy, outspoken, an extrovert and loved poetry. He liked giving speeches and reciting his poetry at the school’s assembly.
3. The Soul City Institute had an initiative known as the Soul Buddyz, aimed at peer education and Thato joined in the club. Within a week, he was promoted from being a member to Chairperson/President.
4. He pitched the idea of a motivational segment to DJ Lemonka, station manager of Kopanong FM. Lemonka was impressed and in March 2016 gave T.J. a slot at the station. He is now the presenter and producer of a segment called Motivation Powa.
6. T.J. first got into acting in 2017. This led him to drop out of his BCom in Industrial Psychology at North West University.
7. He later enrolled to study film and television at the University of Johannesburg, and then scored his debut role of Tshepo in The River.
8. T.J. was next cast in the Mzansi Magic soapie Isithembiso in the recurring role of Kagiso, making his first appearance on the show in Season 3.
9. In 2020 he landed his first starring role in television when he was cast as Thabang in the SABC2 telenovela Lithapo. The series premiered on 13 January, 2020.
10. He is currently on new Mzansi Magic series Ha Molefi. He plays, a queer teen navigating the ballroom world, a strained relationship with his father and the loss of his mother.
