10 Interesting Facts About Muvhango’s Mudi Mudau (Nkele Netshitangane)

1. Mudi Mudau holds a BA in Dramatic Arts from the University of Cape Town.

2. She has been on major TV shows, among them, Interrogation Room 3, Stokvel, Going Up and Madam and Eve.

3. Mudi is also a film star, and she has acted on Don’t Lets Go To The Dogs Tonight, Starship Troopers, The Deal, Fur Immer Afrika and Three Investigators.

4. The veteran actress is one of the latest talents who recently joined SABC2 drama Muvhango. She plays the role of Nkele Dikeledi Netshitangane.

5. Nkele as she is affectionately called is Reneilwe’s mother, a top Limpopo businesswoman with ambitions to dominate the male dominated construction industry. She is an overbearing mother who smothers her daughter with love and money. Nkele has a dominant character, and she makes her presence felt without even trying when she enters a room.

6. Mudi was recently unveiled as one of the main cast members joining Queen Modjadji drama series. She plays Khadikhulu, the Queen’s Rakhadi (aunt), head teacher and adviser.

7. She has also done a lot of commercials. She has worked with any brands among them, Auto and General, Windhoek, KFC Streetwise, Juicy Fruits, ABSA, Promune, Nestle, Outsurance, Dutch Lady, JIK, General Electric and Kelloggs.

8. The multi-talented Mudi found her place as as voice artist due to her passion for languages. She is fluent in English and Venda, she also speaks basic Sotho and French.

9. Mudi has been the English and Venda voice for Metropolitan GEMS IVR for the past four years. She is also the voice on the Eskom Operation Khanyisa Campaign, Baby Purity and Hungry Lion.

10. Besides the arts, Mudi is also a sports fanatic. She is into cycling, a sport that she does very well.
