SABC Officially Welcomes Thato Mokoena to the Family. If there is anyone bagging gigs aligned to their dream, it’s definitely Thato Mokoena. From acting, music, dance, TV, and now radio, she has been consistent with making her dreams become a reality.
The reality show star, musician, actress and media personality has always wanted to be a star and now she’s living her dream. Being a participant on Big Brother Mzansi season III, Thato, sold herself very well while in the house. Immediately after her exit, she bagged a presenting gig on Mzansi Magic sports show, HomeGround. Thato worked alongside Minnie Dlamini, among other talented personalities.
Moving all the way to the top, Thato recently joined one of the country’s biggest radio stations, Metro FM. The station has launched a new show that focuses on music and urban lifestyle called Saturday Sunset. Thato co-hosts the show with veteran radio personality, Quinton “Naked DJ” Masina every Saturday from 6 to 9pm.
Although is is no longer news that she i with the radio station, the SABC has just took it upon themselves to officially welcome her.

Thato started radio on campus at North West University River FM as a presenter from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, she became a producer. Thato went on to become Massiv Metro online radio presenter search winner in 2020. She always credits DJ Sbu, for teaching her everything she needed to know about radio. In 2020, she joined HomeGrown, and went on to bag a gig on Soweto TV in 2021. Thato is a product of Leadership 2020 radio course, proving once again that there are no short cuts to this success.
