It’s Raining Roles for Former Rhythm City actress Kea Masango. Many know her from Rhythm City. Kealeboga Masango played spoilt brat Zinhle Ngobese, who spiraled out of control after her brother Theo was murdered. Zinhle became all hopeless and lonely and experienced with drugs and alcohol.
The end of Rhythm City definitely wasn’t the end of her as an actress. Kea has been bagging all the relevant roles and we are here for it. She is part of the highly anticipated teen drama Youngins.) Kea has been cast as Buhle, an absolute firebrand and the “it” girl at school.
Youngins, is set at a fictional boarding school named Olifantsfontein High. Other cast members include Ayakha Ntunja, as Amo, Thabile Tau as Sefako, Amo Telekelo as Palesa, Tshepo Matlala as Tshepo, Lihle Ngubo as Zinhle, and Katlego Moloke as Alex. SAFTA winner Loyiso MacDonald plays Principal Mthembu, DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Award winner Sanna Mchunu is Matron Lulu, and Keneilwe Matidze (Petronella on Reyka) plays Pearl “Miss SA” Buthelezi.
Youngins premieres on Showmax from 12 February 2024, with three new episodes streaming every Thursday onwards.
Kea is also part of another Showmax show, Intlawulo. The talented actress plays a romantic lead in a new film ahead of Valentine’s Day. Kea plays a lady who falls for her dead brother’s best friend against his family’s approval.
Intlawulo premiers on Showmax on February 12th 2024.
