Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages is an independent bottling company responsible for manufacturing and distributing The Coca-Cola Company’s products in the Western and Northern Cape regions.
About the Graduate Programme:
- Duration: 12-month internship
- Objective: Offers industry exposure, business learning, and skill development within the Business Intelligence (BI) team.
- Responsibilities:
- Engaging in data extraction, transformation, and integration processes.
- Playing a pivotal role in converting raw data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Involvement in the development, testing, and maintenance of BI solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Extraction and Transformation:
- Extracting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources.
- Developing and implementing ETL processes for data accuracy.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) for data engineering applications.
Database Management:
- Working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, SSIS, SSMS, SSRS) for data manipulation.
- Designing and optimizing database structures for enhanced performance.
Data Modeling:
- Designing and implementing data models/views for analytics and reporting.
- Optimization of database structures for efficiency.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Identifying and resolving data-related issues promptly.
- Providing end-user support and troubleshooting BI tool-related problems.
- Maintenance and monitoring of BI applications, databases, queries, and logs.
Collaboration:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Ensuring alignment between business goals and BI solutions.
Education, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Minimum 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree is advantageous.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, Visual Studio, C Sharp).
- Proficiency in SQL, MySQL, Data Management (knowledge of VQL advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with PM Tools (Clickup, JIRA, Trello).
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
