Tiktok Bans Dr Matthew Lani
Tiktok Bans Dr Matthew Lani. It’s not raining but pouring for Dr Matthew Lani. He has been trending for two straight days now, and every hour something new comes up. From the evidence collected against him, it seems as if Dr Lani is a bogus doctor.
So many ‘facts’ about Dr Lani being in the medicine field do not add up. His age, educational background and other things made his claims of being a doctor quite questionable. First and foremost the name he uses is still yet to appear on the HPCSA database, although he claims otherwise.
None of the doctors who studied at Wits University, round about the time he claims he did remembers him. As for Wits, they issued out a statement a day ago, saying they can’t find anyone who graduated with his names in recent years. The university thus asked Dr Lani to retract claims he studied with them with immediate effect. Another institution Cambridge International College, also refuted claims that he studied with them.
Dr Lani has also used his Doctor title for some side hustles. He sold Mokhaba pills, which helped people lose fat around the tummy area. He also claims that these pills had a lucrative market in the United Kingdom. Now after enjoying social media fame, and spotlight, he is in deep waters. The Gauteng Department of Health has opened a criminal case against him.
He still maintains that he is a doctor though, and has spent hours on TikTok videos trying to explain himself. Sadly for him TikTok banned his account while he was still trying to set the record straight.
One thing about Dr Lani though is that he has this never-die-attitude. He has opened a new account, and it’s growing. He will go live tonight to prove that he is a real doctor. This we would love to see!
