DA Ward Councillor Abdulkader Elyas Alleged to Be Another Bogus Doctor. Still tending of both social media and the mainstream media is Dr Matthew Lani’s arrest. The TikTok famous bogus doctor, who has been disguising as a medical practitioner for over two years, has finally been nabbed, and is in police custody.

Three weeks back, social media users also put another fake medical practitioner on blast. Nthabiseng Ramokolo, claimed she was qualified pharmacist, but that has allegedly been a lie. Apparently Nthabiseng wears scrubs, and lures rich men into dating her. She affiliated herself with the University of Limpopo (UL), with claims that she is a master’s student at the institute. UL conducted a thorough review of the records and clarified in a statement that she has never been their student.

It seems as if the medical field is one of the easiest to manipulate and fake. Another fake Doctor has been unveiled, and it’s a high profiled individual. Democratic Alliance ward councillor Abdulkader Elyas is allegedly not the doctor he claims he is. He is said to have lied about possessing a Medical degree and an Actuarial science degree from the University of Cape Town. Abdulkader said he was a student at UCT in 2018 and studied for a Bachelor of Business Science in actuarial science in 2015 and 2018. UCT on the other hand, has denied this and the HPCSA says he is not registered as a medical professional.

Just like Matthew and Nthabiseng, Abdulkader allegedly also used to walk around in scrubs and a stethoscope, posing as a doctor. As he trends on social media. the EFF has called for his immediate resignation. The DA on the other hand, is still investigating him.
