Khumo Studios will be hosting the first annual Mosadi Khumo Women’s Empowerment Concert
Next week Saturday Khumo Studios will be hosting the first annual Mosadi Khumo Women’s Empowerment Concert at Molapo Showcase Piazza. This unprecedented event will be the first of its kind in Botswana, featuring an all-woman’s line up of artists, speakers and performers. Mosadi Khumo was created by Khumo Studios to aid in the empowerment of women in Botswana’s creative industry by strengthening and developing networking opportunities for women in both the creative and corporate sectors. “We hope through this event to foster strong networks among women who have a clear understanding of how they can contribute to the development of film and TV in Botswana. It is our belief that through women who are already actively involved in the creative industry we can begin the process of building a solid foundation for increased employment opportunities as well as a profitable and long-lasting industry.” Mosadi Khumo will begin the day by showcasing the variety and talents of many women entrepreneurs, some of whom will be sponsored by an assortment of Botswana’s top businesses. These talented business women will have stalls at Molapo Showcase. Then in the evening they will showcase some of Botswana’s talented female artist, poets, singers, speakers, actors, and dancers, at different stages in their careers. In that same space, “we will also take time to ‘offer flowers’ and acknowledge the contributions of those who have come before, celebrating and awarding them in appreciation.” As the concert begins guests will enjoy performances from Botswana’s top female artist including Amaar Brown, Priscilla K, Dato Seiko, Ms. Abbey, Lioness Ratang, The Fleek Band, Fizzy the DJ and C.A.L.M dance crew, hosted by actress Bonolo Moletsane and Flava Dome presenter Sadi Dikgaka. “

Khumo Studios is set to host the inaugural Mosadi Khumo Women’s Empowerment Concert at Molapo Showcase Piazza next Saturday. This unprecedented event will be the first of its kind in Botswana, featuring a lineup of all-female artists, speakers, and performers.
The purpose of Mosadi Khumo is to empower women in Botswana’s creative industry by creating networking opportunities for women in both the creative and corporate sectors. The hope is to foster strong networks among women who have a clear understanding of how they can contribute to the development of film and TV in Botswana. The ultimate goal is to build a solid foundation for increased employment opportunities as well as a profitable and long-lasting industry.
