Kagiso Modupe Shares the Trailer of His New Star Studded Film. Not only is he a great actor, he is also one of the best producers in the country. The phenomenal Kagiso Modupe is back with another offering and we can’t wait.
Through his company, Bakwena Productions, Kagiso has been working tirelessly on a new film. The award winning actor, media personality, film and TV producer has just shared the trailer of the film titled, Ingoma- The song. Judging from the clip he shared, there is going to be loads of drama and action
The film has a star studded cast, among them Kagiso himself, the veteran Sello Maake kaNcube, another veteran Don Mlangeni Nawa, Nthati Moshesh, Lusanda Mbane, Motlatsi Mafatshe, Khanya Mkangisa, Paballo Mavundla, and Mpho Sebeng just to name a few.
Speaking about the movies, one of the cast members Maake ka Ncube said, “This is was an interesting production! Very proud of my TV son! Mangi!!”
It goes without saying that Ingoma- The song is going to be a heat. This is because, when it comes to producing films, Kagiso knows his stuff. In 2019, he dropped the blockbuster Losing Lerato, a film that he also starred in.
Losing Lerato was funded by Kagiso and his wife Liza. The film screened in cinemas across South Africa and eSwatini. It received critical acclaim and won six awards at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in California. Kagiso won the Best Actor Feature award, Samela Tyelbooi won Best Actress Feature, his daughter Tshimollo won the Best Child Performance award. Besides the major awards, the film won Golden Era Humanitarian Narrative Award, Best Original Score Award and Festival Favourite Award.
