Miss SA 2021 Runner Up Moratwe Masima Competes In Another Major Beauty Pageant. The likes of reigning Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert and former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi have shown us that there is no shame in trying again. After going back to the drawing board, these queens returned to claim major titles.
Could this be the case with Dr Moratwe Masima? Many remember the beauty queen and medical doctor, from when she contested in Miss South Africa 2021. Moratwe did amazingly well in the competition and she and Zimi Mabunzi became a runner ups to the winner, Lalela Mswane.
Now, in 2023, she continues to make her mark on the global stage as one of the finalists in the prestigious Miss World South Africa competition, firmly securing her spot in the Top 12. The competition for this prestigious title is fierce, with each contestant bringing her unique charm, talent, and passion to the stage. Moratwe’s remarkable poise, intelligence, and beauty carried her through the various rounds, ultimately securing her place in the Top 12.
Moratwe is also using this opportunity to speak boldly for the course she stands for. As a doctor, she has always advocated for good health. In 2022, she launched her reproductive health campaign titled, You Health Your Dignity. The campaign is aimed at providing socio-economically disadvantaged women with basic education, insight, and resources to healthcare. Moratwe recently announced that she was going on an exciting 5 week journey to capacitate herself to run the Your Health Your Dignity NPO.
The first ever Miss World South Africa will take place this October, with Minnie Dlamini as the host. The winner will get the opportunity to represent South Africa at the Miss World international pageant in India on December 9, 2023.
