“We Needed this Laughter. I’m Glad I Took the Roast,” Tbo Touch #RoastOfKhanyi

“We Needed this Laughter. I’m Glad I Took the Roast,” Tbo Touch. Shots were definitely fired at The Roast of Khanyi Mbau. As the roast mater Mpho Pops said, no one was safe. From the roast master, roastee herself to the panelists it was really hectic. Even some personalities who were not part of the roast such as AKA and Tebogo Lerole caught smoke.

One of the panelist members who was roasted for real is Tbo Touch. The media personality and entrepreneur was the first one to take to the stage and delivered a few jabs here and there. One thing about his jokes though, they were clean as he used no vulgar language. As soon as Touch stepped off the stage, it was hell for him.

The roast master Mpho was clearly not impressed with Touch’s set. He said they might as well cut out Touch’s part and tell people that there was load shedding. Together with other panelists Mpho also mocked Touch for his American accent. Celeste put the last nail on the coffin saying that Touch ran away from home at 16 years of age, and he should quit always mentioning that he was adopted by Grace Jones’ family.

Tbo Touch you cant speak with an American accent but have the vocabulary of a government worker,” Mpho said.

It really felt like it was Tbo Touch’s roast than Khanyi’s. Some people felt that he was not going to take it well and go all bitter. Contrary to that though, Tbo Touch is all good and grateful for the opportunity.

South Africa we needed this laughter, for real. I’m glad I took the roast. Anything to put a smile on our faces during these crazy times. Good night, but tjo I got roasted nkosiyam,” Touch said.
