Thando Thabethe Shares Trailer of Her New Drama Blood Psalms. September is definitely one month to look forward to in terms of exciting shows. On the 16th of September 2022 the much anticipated The Woman King which stars some of our local talents will drop, and so will other projects.
One of those project is a locally produced Showmax drama series, Blood Psalms which will premier to subscribers on September 28. This will be after its world premiere in Cape Town on Wednesday 24 August as the opening night screening at MIP Africa, part of FAME Week Africa.
The stroryline of Blood Psalms takes us through Ancient Africa, one thousand years after the fall of Atlantis. The five surviving houses of Kemet find themselves beset with fears of a prophesied end of days. On the drama, Isidingo star Bokang Phelane plays the role of a lifetime as the fearless Princess Zazi.
Multiple SAFTA winning actor Mothusi Magano, plays her father, mad King Letsha, while another award winning actor, Zolisa Xaluva plays General Toka, the head of her father’s Akachi army.
The epic, action-packed African fantasy series is also filled with other talented local stars. Among them are Thando Thabethe, Bongile Mantsai, Hamilton Dlamini, Hlubi Mboya, S’dumo Mtshali, Siv Ngesi and the veteran Sello Maake kaNcube.
