Malesela Teffo Back As Counsel for the 4 Accused In the Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial. Now this is a dramatic turn of events. Just two weeks ago Advocate Malesela Teffo, announced that he was withdrawing form the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. Guess who is now back representing the four accused men!

For some time, many had hope that Advocate Teffo was going to solve this case, which has been going on for years now. Meyiwa, who was a goalkeeper for both Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana lost his life on 26 October 2014. Although he was gunned down in a room full of people, to date no one has accounted for his murder. A couple of arrests have been made, but sadly the murder hasn’t been pinned down in anyone.

Since the engagement of defense lawyer, there has been hope that the case will be solved. A month ago, the outspoken Teffo left many shocked when he claimed that there is an eyewitness who has information. He stated that the eyewitness will testify that Meyiwa was shot dead by mistake by his then girlfriend, and baby mama Kelly, using a revolver that belonged to Longwe Twala.

A couple of weeks after that, Advocate Teffo dropped yet another bombshell, leaving the nation shocked once again. He has just withdrawn from the case, alleging that his life was in danger as there were some threats from higher offices. Now, Teffo wants back in, and remains as counsel for the four accused men.

“I will continue representing accused 1 to 4 and will he in court on 2 August 2022,” Teffo said.
