Connie Releases the Ferguson Foundation Gala Launch Dates Held In Memory of Shona. He might be gone, but definitely not forgotten. Almost a year after his untimely passing, Shona Ferguson is still celebrated as an icon in the industry, as well as a loving family man.
In May 2021, together with his wife Connie Ferguson, Shona launched their own foundation. The Ferguson Foundation aims at empowering those individuals in business, education, film, and ultimately building industry leaders. Their primary objective is to create tomorrow’s dreams today by promoting young entrepreneurs, funding the education of disadvantaged youth, and nurturing unfletched film enthusiasts.
The Fergusons also revealed that they were working on setting up a film school that will educate and inspire upcoming film enthusiasts. The late Shona took to social media to further elaborate that their working towards their vision of building a sustainable film industry. Hence their foundation will the that ladder to offer a step up for communities.
Sadly in July the 31st Shona lost his life after a battle with Covid-19. This however, did not mean that is was over with Ferguson Foundation. Yes, some projects were delayed because of the loss, but now the time is perfect for the foundation to run. Connie has just announced the dates for the official launch of the Ferguson Foundation.

The Ferguson Foundation Gala Launch, in loving memory of our co-founder Shona Ferguson, will be held on Friday 5 August 2020. I am looking forward to having you join us in the fruition of this vision and celebration of the life of a true visionary of empowerment and upliftment,” Connie announced.
