Sol Phenduka Not Impressed By How His Little Daughter Found Out How He Lost His KAYA FM Job

Sol Phenduka Not Impressed By How His Little Daughter Found Out How He Lost His KAYA FM Job. A month ago Sol Phenduka lost his job at Kaya FM after being with the radio station for three years. The immediate termination of breakfast show content provider’s contract, followed what Kaya FM described as a serious breach of the station’s values and broadcasting standards.

Sol joined the radio station back in June 2022. This came after he vehemently stated the previous year, that it will take a lot for him to come back to radio. Together with the phenomenal Dineo Ranaka, Sol hosted 959 Breakfast, and they made such a great duo. The two took over from former breakfast hosts Thomas Msengana and Skhumba Hlophe. Dineo was eventually let go by Kaya, and his position has since been filled by Sizwe Dhlomo.

The media personality and musician was let go from Kaya because of his misogynistic remarks made about actress Minnie Dlamini. Sol was present when MacG suggested Minnie being unlucky in relationships could be because her private parts could have an unpleasant smell. This did not sit well with many people, and who called for MacG and Sol to be cancelled. Sadly for Sol, this cost him his job.

Although it was public knowledge that Sol was fired, his Grade 1 daughter did not know. She only got to know from her classmates, who probably heard the news from their parents. Sol is not impressed with this, calling out parents for the kind of conversations they have with their kids.

Not my Grade 1 child asking whether I got kicked out at Kaya because her classmates told her I got ” Kicked out ” . She already knew I no longer work there without telling her how or why . Mxim . I love my line of work , I just hate this part about it . Also, I’m so curious about the conversations other parents have with their grade 1 kids and the tone used,” Sol said
