Somizi Receives Major Support After Getting Blocked From Zimbabwe Due to His Sexuality
Somizi Receives Major Support After Getting Blocked From Zimbabwe Due to His Sexuality. 2021 will definitely go down as one of the most difficult for Somizi. At the moment he and his estranged husband Mohale Motaung are going through a bitter divorce. Because of the claims Mohale made against Somizi, including both physical and emotional abuse, the celebrated media personality and entertainer has been cancelled on major shows, among them Idols SA.
Having noted that though, Somizi has been picking himself up with weekend gigs, where he incorporates cooking and entertainment. He is also making a major comeback to the small screen with a new show. Somizi has joined Moja Love channel, and will host a new dating show according to reports. Sadly, it seems like a dark cloud will always hang over his head.
Somizi’s gig in the neighboring Zimbabwe, did not materialize simply because of his sexuality. The Council of Indigenous churches as well as ZANU-PF youths blocked the coming of Somizi to Zimbabwe, where he was expected to appear at Garwe Restaurant as a guest chef on the 4th November 2021. The council also threatened to mobilize its members in protest.
A lot of people took to social media to stand with Somizi over the issue. They fail to understand how his presence will affect their beliefs as people against homosexuality. Among those who stood by Somizi is media personality Kuli Roberts, who urged those against the visit to feed their citizens instead of being homophobic. Somizi’s best friend singer Kelly Khumalo also canceled her appearance and performance at Garwe Restaurant; Zimbabwe to show her solidarity with Somizi.
This hostile relationship between South Africa & Zimbabwe must come to an end, the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit VISAs that were illegally issued by ANC government must never be renewed!@PresidencyZA must set commission of enquiry abt the immigration in SA.@somizi sorry for this. pic.twitter.com/m04tEPnynG

Their hateful God is exhausting. Feed Zimbabweans instead of obsessing over Somizi. The Church spreading discrimination is so weak. Be useful and sort out Zimbabwe instead of the morbid fascination with a stranger. https://t.co/VBSdY7azQA

The funny thing is that the same Zimbabweans rejecting Somizi will next month ride crocodiles and come to the same country he is in. This shows how the rest of these so called "brothers" will treat South Africans once they no longer have nothing to leech.

Can someone explain this to me? Somizi being gay affects Zimbabweans beliefs only when he goes to Zimbabwe but when Zimbabweans comes to SA their beliefs is not affected?

The problem start when a shadowy organization thinks it speaks for us all .
If they had problems with Somizi, they shud not assume everyone has a problem with him.Iyoyi nyaya yevanhu zvekuzviita ana father Zimbabwe ndoinotisvitsa patiri apa
