Somizi Clears His Name On Abuse Allegations Made By Estranged Husband Mohale. Somizi has finally broken his silence. He and his estranged husband Mohale have been trending on social media over abuse allegations in their marriage. A lot of people including some celebrities, stood by Mohale saying the believe that indeed he suffered at the hands of Somizi.

Mohale accused Somizi of pulling a kitchen knife on him and threatening to butcher both of them to death just three weeks into their relationship. He also alleged that his husband, who allegedly loves group sex, also suggested that they enjoy a steamy threesome with a stranger when they were in Amsterdam some time ago. He also accused Somizi of breaking his ribs and almost knocking out his two teeth in a jealously fueled violent domestic dispute in their Johannesburg home last year.

To clear his name, Somizi has just issued a statement on Instagram, where he also opened up about their marriage. Somizi said, he ever thought a day would come where he had to defend his name because someone he has loved is ruining it. He said it took him years to arrive at a stage where he could publicly share his love life, and that is simply because he dearly loved him.

The celebrated media personality, actor, author and entrepreneur stated that just like any other marriage, they had their ups and downs. Somizi however pointed out that he has never physically or knowingly emotionally abused Mohale. He mentioned only one altercation in which he had to defend himself where both of them were physically hurt by the other.

Our relationship has had its ups and downs but I have never been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation,” Somizi said.

Amidst the drama, Somizi has taken a leave of absence from Metro, where he hosts the Ask A Man segment together with Dineo Ranaka and Naked DJ. M-Net has also had a discussion with the star, ad they have come to an agreement that he takes some time off Idols SA to deal with his personal issues. As the audition shows were pre-recorded, Somizi will be on TV until Sunday, 2nd August 2021.
