SA Celebs Weigh In On The Abuse Allegations Mohale Made Against Somizi
SA Celebs Weigh In On The Abuse Allegations Mohale Made Against Somizi. A few months ago, MacG called out SA celebrities for their selective activism. On a heated Podcast and Chill with MacG episode, the media personality addressed the issue of some celebrities telling off certain people publicly when they err, but being mum when their faves are on the wrong side of the law. He spoke about how the likes of Thando Thabethe and Mantsoe were quite the time DJ Fresh was accused of alleged rape, but were vocal when his transgender episode aired.
Once again, SA celebs are accused of sitting issues out when it’s their favorite who is in hot water. These accusations came about after Mohale Motaung accused his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo of abuse which dates back to the time when they were still dating. According to Sunday World publication Motaung has revealed that he was “afraid” of Mhlongo when they exchanged vows in their lavish 2020 wedding.
Motaung also accuses Mhlongo of pulling a kitchen knife on him and threatening to butcher both of them to death just three weeks into their relationship. He also alleged that Mhlongo, who allegedly loves group sex, also suggested that they enjoy a steamy threesome with a stranger when they were in Amsterdam some time ago, adding that Mhlongo often asked if he could bring home sex partners in their marital home for steamy sessions.
The actor and entrepreneur has also accused the celebrated media personality of breaking his ribs and almost knocking out his two teeth in a jealously fueled violent domestic dispute in their Johannesburg home last year.
Despite all of this trending on social media, SA celebs, who normally speak out against issues of abuse remain silent. Havig noted that though, there are those personalities who have been bold enough to voice out their opinions over the issue. The likes of Penny Lebyane, Ntsiki Mazwai, Jackie Phamotse, Nokuthula Mabika, Amanda Black, Lerato Moloi and Rosie Motene are among those who have shown support publicly for Mohale.
