SA Celebs React To MacG Calling Out Other Celebs On Their Selective Activism. A few weeks ago, MacG landed in hot water after he his take on the transgender issue. Together with his co-hosts, Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady were slammed by the LGBTQI community for hateful transphobic comments they made on the episode.

Celebrities like Lumko Johnson, Thando Thabethe, Vuyolwethu Ngcukana, Masasa Mbangeni, Karabo Ntshweng, Mantsoe Nomzamo, Langa Mavuso and many others called out MacG, saying he is homophobic as well as transphobic. His sponsor Old Mutual also pulled out after a lot of pressure from Twitter.

After a few days, the team released a statement, in which they apologized. They admitted that they were wrong for their remarks and failure to be sensitive, especially to the LGBTQI+ community which already faces dangers brought about by ignorance.

Well, on his latest episode, MacG addressed the issue of some celebrities telling off certain people publicly when they err, but being mum when their faves are on the wrong side of the law. He spoke about how the likes of Thando Thabethe and Mantsoe were quite the time DJ Fresh was accused of alleged rape, but were vocal when his transgender episode aired.
