Lasizwe Comes Through for Financially Struggling University Students. Times are really hard and we need all the help we can get to overcome certain struggles.For those students battling to pay their registration fees, worry no more because Lasizwe Dambuza and his team are here for you.
Through their R10 Goes a Long Way Initiative, they will be paying the registration fees for every single person that applied to the fund. With the help of other personalities Sibu Mabena, Takkies and King Aya the initiative was started in March 2021. The aim was to raise funds for university students, and the ultimate goal was to raise R1m for students in need. The dedicated team kicked off the campaign by depositing money out of their own pockets to motivate everyone capable, to donate R10 to the cause. Pretty soon, social media users and other celebs also jumped in to donate towards the initiative.
In just five days, the team managed to raise a whopping R1 000 000.00! The money was given to those students who couldn’t get registered in universities due to financial constraints. It’s 2022, and the movement is back, even bigger and better. They will help all the 313 students who have registered for the initiative, with money to register at Universities they applied at.
