Family, industry peers, ad fans across the country and beyond continue to celebrate the icon that was Shona Ferguson. Instead of dwelling too much into mourning, people are choosing to celebrate the live that he lived as well as the impressive legacy that he left behind.

Ferguson was laid to rest this past Wednesday in a private funeral at Ruimsig Johannesburg. The funeral was attended by close family members and dignitaries like Minister Nathi Mthethwa. Those who worked closely before with Ferguson, but couldn’t attend his funeral, gathered around at the Ferguson Studios where they gave their boss a well deserved Guard of Honor.

Today, a memorial service in his honor was held, and once again, moving tributes were made. As an actor, Ferguson had leading ladies who starred alongside him. Some of those actresses are Gail Mabalane, Enhle Mbali Tsholo Matshaba and Zandile Msutwana. At his memorial, they got the chance to pay tribute to Ferguson as well as comfort his family and loved ones.

All the ladies spoke so well, but it was Gail’s message that moved a lot of social media users. She hailed Ferguson as a great employer, loving family man and colleague. The actress also spoke about how selfless Ferguson was. Gail also narrated an incident in which one cast member had a break-in and stuff was stolen from their house. While they were busy on set, Ferguson brought the victim two iPhones, one for them and the other for their partner. He also beefed up security at their place of residence.
