Thami Ngubeni Announces the Passing of Her Father. Our sincere condolences goes out to Thami Ngubeni and her family as they mourn the loss of their loved one, Bruce Ezekiel Ngubeni. Taking to her social media, Thami announced her father’s passing, stating that it recently happened.
“This week my Beloved Daddy, Bruce Ezekiel Ngubeni transitioned into glory. The Giant Tree has fallen. This is the seed that sprouted into Mathamsanqa Ngubeni. Principled, Strict yet Loving…I wasn’t ready to say goodbye 💔,” she said.
The news anchor, producer, actress, author and former editor of The Oprah Magazine in South Africa expressed her grief in a heartfelt tribute. She also touched o the relationship she had with Ngubeni, and how he has impacted her life. Industry colleagues like Lala Tuku, Thembi Mrototo, Dr Linah Ebony Ngcobo and Thebe Ikalafeng sent Thami condolence messages.
She added, “This man ‘saw’ me, affirmed & loved me. He wasn’t always there, but when I needed him the most he WAS. I love you forever Daddy.
