International Series Noughts + Crosses Coming Back For Season II

International Series Noughts + Crosses Coming Back For Season II. Our actresses are without a doubt a hit, when it comes to being cast on international productions. Currently making waves on the international scene, are none other than Thuso Mbedu, Nomzamo Mbatha and Pearl Thusi.

Last week Friday, was dubbed Thuso Mbedu day, as the award winning actress shone on the Amazon series, The Underground Railroad. On the series Mbedu plays Cora Randall, who escapes from the same Georgia plantation that had enslaved three generations of her family. On the 5th of March, the world got to see the highly anticipated, ‘Coming 2 America’. Playing lead on the movie was our very own, Nomzamo Mbatha who was cast as Mirembe, a royal groomer.

Another talented actress who is not new to the international scene is, Bonnie Mbuli. In 2018 Mbuli shared that she bagged a role in Noughts + Crosses series, which was released in 2020. `Noughts + Crosses’ is a BBC adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s 2001 novel of the same name. The hit show follows the forbidden love story of Callum and Sephy, a “Nought” and a “Cross” who fall in love. Mbuli was cast as Jasmine Hadley, Sephy Hadley’s mother.

Noughts + Crosses is now back for season II, and Mbuli is once again part of the cast. On Tuesday she took to her Instagram account to share the news of the upcoming season, and we are here for it.
