To also prove that they are for the people, in November 2020, Mr Price went on to launch its first container store in Illovo town in Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal. The move was also done to gain greater access to the growing township economy, as well as save their township customers time and money. It also meant more employment opportunities for people in those communities.
As much as Mr Price gets applauded for such wonderful moves, customers also call the store out when customers feel that something is amiss. The retail store has just unveiled their new lounge set, and a lot of their customers are not happy with the prices. The price range is from R140 to R300.
