Safety First! Bahumi On Why She Turned An Uber Ride Away

Safety First! Bahumi On Why She Turned An Uber Ride Away. There are a lot of horror stories about Uber drivers, more especially from ladies passengers. From rape incidents, to being kidnapped some passengers have had the worst rides. Because of such, a lot of people are skeptical of using their services, to preserve their lives.

Even celebrities have some unpleasant stories of using Ubers. In 2018, Anele Mdoda took to Twitter to share her wildest Uber driver. The media personality said the Uber driver swore at her and also threatened to beat her. This came after the driver realized that Anele was famous and wanted a picture with her. When he could get what he wanted he became violent. Talk about wild!

Sometimes though, one finds themselves with no choice but to request an Uber. If that is the case with you, kindly do your own security checks before jumping in. This is exactly what Bahumi Mhlogo did. After realizing that the driver didn’t match the face on the app, the actress and reality TV star became worried. To make her suspicions even more higher, when Bahumi called the number on the app, it went through to a different person.

Her advice to customers is for them to ask the drivers to lower their masks so that they could see their faces. Bahumi also stated that even if the driver gets offended, at the end of the day, it is for the safety of the client.

I almost got into a car whose driver didn’t match the face, & when I called the number on the app, it went through to someone else. CHECK YOUR UBER & BOLT DRIVERS’ FACES. Regardless of how offended they get, ask them to kindly lower their masks, it’s for your safety. #Bolt#Uber,” Bahumi said.
