Come the 16th May 2021, Natasha Joubert, will represent South Africa at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.
The last Miss Universe pageant was held in December 2019 and its winner, Zozibini Tunzi, has worn the crown longer than anyone else. The beauty queen was crowed Miss SA 2nd Princess in October 2020. In the past South Africa has been represented very well on the Miss Universe stage. At the current moment, SA is the title holder, courtesy of Zozibini walking away with the crown in December 2019. She became the third South African to win the pageant after Margaret Gardiner in 1978 and Demi-Leigh Tebow in 2017.
