Recently the media personality and entrepreneur, put South Africa on the world map by breaking the world record for the Longest Marathon Radio Music Show. This milestone also marked an era for DJ Sbu who announced retirement from daytime radio at Massiv Metro. But this does not mean the end for him and radio.
Through his Leadership 2020, DJ Sbu aims at developing platforms, opportunities and networks for anyone who wants to develop skills and join a network of potential. I oe of his major projects, DJ Sbu has founded another online radio station, HOME GROWN Radio. This is an online start up designed for creative graduate students. Talk about opening up the industry.
HOME GROWN Radio is a sister radio station to Massiv Metro. It will absorb creative graduates from, ‘I Was Born To Speak On Radio Training Programme’. HOME GROWN Radio, will officially launch at the end of the month. In the meantime, the station is already live, and you can listen HERE.
