Tweeps Reacts To The Reopening Of Schools Being Pushed Back To February 15th. The Department of Basic Education has announced that schools will only reopen on 15 February 2021. This change applies to both public and private schools.
Deputy Basic Education Minister Regina Mhaule, explained during a press conference on Friday 15th that this measure was taken to avoid further burdening health facilities following the second wave of COVID-19. School management teams will report for duty on Monday 25 January 2021, teachers shall follow Monday 1 February, learners return on Monday 15 February.
