Family Secrets Responds To Allegations That Cast and Crew Members Have Not Been Paid. It was all excitement when Family Secret announced that they are coming back for season II. The SABC1 drama series follows Africa’s first black owner of a merchant bank, Caesar Mokwena, whose greatest ambition is to be the richest and most powerful financier in the whole world.

Family Secrets season 2 stars the likes of Nimrod Nkosi, Mampho Brescia, Jamie Bartlett, Busiswa Mambi, Vusi Kunene, Bafana Mthembu, Buyile Mdladla, Nalini Subrayen, Cedric Fourie, Llewellyn Cordier, Benni Langa, Keaby Mashugane, Tumi Malefo, Angelique Gerber as well as Michael de Pinna.

The series is produced by SAWITA (South African Women in Television Arts), with executive producers Pulane Shomang and Bongani Sibeko; and producer Obakeng Octavius Mogotsi. However, according to entertainment reporter Phil Mphela, cast and crew members are yet to receive their salaries, for the work they have done this season.

Family Secrets was quick to respond, saying that this is all fake news and that they are taking legal actions against the reporter. Mphela was unfazed by all this and even urged them to take the legal action because he doesn’t report fake news. Mphela went on to say that he has email and text correspondence between SAWITA and employees. He also added that he has witnesses and correspondence with SABC.
