Job Overview

adidas is recruiting a Permanent Part time team member for its V & A Waterfront store in Cape Town. You support daily store operations while helping customers find products that match their needs and style.

Purpose and Relevance of the Role

You assist store management with day to day store maintenance and operations. You deliver consistent adidas service standards while following all store policies and procedures. Your role supports sales performance, customer satisfaction, and the protection of company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest level of adidas customer service
• Process sales transactions using cash, credit, and other payment methods
• Support product ticketing and check delivery paperwork against received stock
• Assist with moving products from the stockroom to the sales floor when required
• Help create and maintain merchandise displays as guided by management
• Use the point of sale system accurately and follow all procedures
• Apply selling techniques such as add on sales and explaining product features
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products
• Act as a store greeter during busy periods when needed
• Maintain general housekeeping standards including store cleaning
• Safeguard company assets and support loss prevention procedures
• Monitor the sales floor and report suspicious activity in line with SLAP procedures
• Take part in in store and digital training to build product knowledge
• Use Power BI tools to understand store performance and best selling products

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong passion for retail and customer service
• Ability to use initiative and work independently
• Clear positive and confident communication skills
• Flexibility to work weekdays evenings and weekends
• Adaptability to handle different tasks and changing situations
• Previous fashion retail experience is an advantage but not essential
